Day 1, South to Oregon
We are finally on the road. We departed Seattle yesterday at 1:30 PM on Wednesday and headed south for Oregon. Seattle was rainy and about 55 degrees; The quintessential Seattle day. Our first stop took us to Portland, OR to have dinner with one of Dylan’s old friends and his wife. We arrived in Portland at 5:10 PM. The weather was cloudy but dry and a bit warmer. We dined at a little Mexican restaurant, which 12 hours later had both Dylan and I doubled over with stomach cramps at Dylan’s parent’s house in southern Oregon.. our next stop. We departed Portland at 6:45 PM and arrived at Gold Hill, OR at about midnight. Gold Hill is Dylan’s home town and was our first overnight stop. Today we are off to a slow start and are finally feeling ok again after the bout with the mexican food. I was feeling ok at about 9 am but Dylan was just finally ok about a hour or so ago. We plan on hitting the road about 2 this afternoon. Our next stop is San Franciso, CA where we will stay for a couple nights at Dylan’s sister’s place. The weather here in Gold Hill is perfect, not a cloud in the sky and a nice dry 68 degrees. Yesterday we stopped at Frye’s electronics on the way and I picked up a new SD digital camera card that fits into my cellphone so I’ll be posting a few candid shots from that as well.
A few pictures from packing the truck on Tuesday and the first leg to Oregon are also now up in the Seattle to San Diego Gallery
We’ll be in San Francisco in about 6 hours.

Did I not warn you about Mexican food in general, do you understand me now??? It’s evil and bad for you. Anyhow, thank you for the update. The Indian summer has hit Seattle and we have had a beautiful warm fall day. Keep us posted on your progress, we like pictures! Safe driving! Kisses from the pussies!
