The final drive through the night ended without incident and we arrived in sunny San Diego about 7AM on Monday morning. We passed through LA around 4AM and hit minimal traffic so our plan paid off. We are finally getting organized and unpacked. I CANNOT believe how much stuff we managed to pack into that damn 15 foot truck. It was exhausing driving all night long and then unpacking the truck most of the day yesterday. We kept working through until it was done so that it wasn’t hanging over our head. The apartment is fine. It’s just your typical two bedroom, 2 bath 70’s hacienda but it beats getting here without anyplace to live. We returned the truck and finally had a chance to nap about 5pm. Today (Tuesday) we wandered up to Starbucks to get some work done (where I’m at now). Unfortunately we don’t have internet access at the apartment and we weren’t able to hijack an open wireless connection nearby. Hopefully our cable internet will get turned on in the next few days. It’s hard to get any substantial work done on a laptop at a coffee shop.

Our apartment is in the Hillcrest area, which is about 5 minutes from downtown and about 10 minutes from the beach. It’s very convenient and almost anything you need is within short walking distance. The weather today is about 75 degrees with a great breeze and not a cloud in the sky. As soon as I get more organized and catch up on some work I’ll get out and take some new pictures of the area and our apartment.

I put a few pictures up in the photo gallery from our last day/night in San Francisco. I heavily censored the pictures but be warned, there are still some very disturbing images… especially the one of me! lol Our last night there we had a karaoke party at Molly’s house (Dylan’s sister). She had some friends come over for some drinks and singing. She has a karaoke machine in her living room, which makes for an interesting party. To really make the party one to remember, we decided to dress up as rock stars so there are a few photos of us looking like 80’s has been drug-addicted rockers. The Folsom Street Fair was probably the largest street fair I’ve ever been to, which is amazing considering it’s subject. There were tons of people walking around, most of which were just your average everyday people, some even with baby strollers, which completley astounded me. That’s just bad judgement if you ask me. Most of the fair contained lewd acts of behavior that would get you arrested anywhere else in the world. I guess that’s what makes San Francisco, San Francisco. I took a few more pictures of the sights but there’s no way in hell I’m going to post them, that is if I ever want my Mother to speak to me again. lol
