La Paloma Theater in Encinitas, CA, opened on February 11, 1928. It was one of the first movie theaters to show talking pictures. Today the theater shows movies as well as live stage performances of plays and musical groups.

I took a few shots of the interior today for a magazine feature article assignment. I was told that the reel projector they still use today is also very old.
