The New Roommate
It’s been a few weeks since I’ve written. For some reason I just haven’t been in the mood. The transition into the new house has been very nice and I love it so far. It’s very relaxing. Maybe that’s part of the reason I haven’t written. I’ve been extremely busy with work, which is a good thing I guess. I haven’t felt the urge to wander off into other distractions like blogging to kill time while I avoid work. The open space and bright light of the new house has made working from home great. Keeping this site up-to-date has been on my mind lately though, so I’m hoping that I can write a bit more when I find the time.
Last weekend was San Diego gay pride. It was a ton of fun. Nothing like LA, mind you (wink), but fun none-the-less. Just kidding. That was a comment for Betty. Honestly though, it was my first San Diego pride and the weekend was great. I didn’t really take many pictures though, mostly because sometimes it just gets burdensome to carry around the camera, even the small compact pocket Canon that I have. I’ll post a few shots later that I thought were cool.
Well on to the subject of this particular post. Our roommate Tyler has a brother that breeds chameleons. So, after a few weeks of waiting, our newest little roommate arrived today via UPS. I snapped a few shots to share with everything. I’m not a big fan of reptiles but I must admit he is quite fascinating to watch. I’m sure I’ll have some more pictures of him as time goes on. We haven’t named him yet so we just call him Chamey. I think he looks like one of those wierd generals from Star Wars, so I’m researching what that guy’s name was. If anybody knows who I’m talking about, let me know. We’ll take a vote and decide on a name soon. Afterall, our house mascot has to have a name.
My roommate Dylan also setup the LIVE “Chameleon Cam”… dare I say Cham-Cam. A webcam for Chamey, which you can check out online at http://www.dagzilla.com/webcam.html. Yes, that’s right… LIVE! from Chamey’s cage. He’s not always in view, so be patient. The pictures are somewhat deceiving… he’s only about 4 inches long.
