Sunday Burgers and Beer at the Station in South Park

Andre and I decided to check out a new place down in South Park called Station Tavern & Burgers. It’s a really cool place and the design was nice. It’s been open for a few weeks now. The outside patio area was great, especially for a nice Sunday in San Diego. Their menu is small and they focus on just burgers. I had the cheeseburger, which was pretty good but I’ve had better. I always say, if you’re going to just offer burgers on the menu, then they better be the best damn burgers in town and San Diego has some real competition in that department. My favorite burger joint is still Burger Lounge in Kensington. I have yet to meet a burger that can beat that place. The Station also has tater tots, which I didn’t have but that everyone says are awesome. I just had the regular fries.

The Station is still a cool tavern to hang out in and it is also kid and pet friendly. We were there just after it opened at noon, but the place filled up and there were several families with young kids and couples with their dogs outside on the patio. Worth checking out if you like eating outdoors and having a nice cold beer on a sunny weekend.
